The Gazebo in front of Wheelock Town Hall. Photo by Eileen Boland.

The gazebo, or bandstand, was a bicentennial project to replace a previous one that was destroyed by the hurricane in 1938. It was built by local residents in 1976. Here’s a link to the 1985 Wheelock Bicentennial Edition, edited by Allis Beaumont Reid, published by the Wheelock Historical Commission. The booklet features a photo of the bandstand with a crowd of musicians.
